The Warrick County Council met in regular session  in the Warrick County Courthouse, Commissioners Meeting Room, 107 W.  Locust Street, Boonville, Indiana.  Auditor Richard Kixmiller recorded the Minutes.

March 11, 2004 - Executive Session:

 

President Gary Meyer read the Executive Session Minutes.

 

The Warrick County Council held an Executive Session on March 11, 2004 at 5:00 P.M.   The Purpose of the meeting was to discuss Personnel matters and was held in the Commissioners Meeting Room.

 

Those in attendance were Gary Meyer, President; Ray McIntyre, Vice President; Greg Richmond, Robert Addington, Joe Schitter, Raymond Bracher and David Hachmeister.   The Executive Session ended at 5:45 P.M.                       

 

MOTION: Greg Richmond made the motion to approve the Executive Session of March 11, 2004.

                                                                                      WARRICK COUNTY COUNCIL ORDINANCE 2004-02

 

                                                                       An Ordinance to Amend County Council Ordinance 1988-1 and 2001-04

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF WARRICK COUNTY, INDIANA, as follows:

Section 1.               Warrick County Council Ordinance 1988-1 previously established a maximum rate of mileage reimbursement for Warrick County employees of a rate equal to the rate adopted by the United States Internal Revenue Service.

 

Section 2.               Warrick County Council Ordinance 2001-04 amended Warrick county Council Ordinance 1988-1 and established  maximum rate of mileage reimbursement for Warrick County employees of a rate of thirty cents ($.30) per mile.

 

Section 3.               Effective from and after its passage and execution by the members of the Warrick County Council, this Amended Ordinance shall govern all requests for mileage rate reimbursement of any County employee or agent of an County office or department listed in the Code of Ordinance of Warrick County, Indiana.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF WARRICK COUNTY, INDIANA that Warrick County employees who have been authorized to use their personal vehicles for Warrick County business will be reimbursed at the rate of thirty-four ($.34) per mile.

 

This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and execution by the members of the Warrick County Council.

 

Passed by the Warrick County Council on the 5th day of February, 2004.

Joe Edwards asked the question, do part time Warrick County employees get raises?

 

The Council members told him no.

 

Local Economic Advisory Council:

 

The Council had two nominations for the appointment, Stu Phillips and Howard Nevins.

 

Stu Phillips received a vote of 5 for and 2 against.   Howard Nevins received a vote of 2 for and five against.   

 

MOTION: Ray McIntyre made the motion to appoint Stu Phillips for the Local Economic Advisory Council.

Southwestern Regional Development:

 

It was decided to place this on the May agenda.

 

Bryon Sherman announced the Storm Water Management meeting to be April 8th.
