Fees
EFFECTIVE
July 1, 2006:
The following “Affirmation
Statement” must be included on all documents
executed or acknowledged (notarized) in Indiana and recorded
in Indiana under the "Prepared By" statement on the last page.
"I affirm,
under penalties for perjury, that I have taken reasonable care
to redact each social security number in this document, unless
required by law."
EFFECTIVE December 1, 2006:
For bar coding/scanning software purposes a full
2 inch margin is required across the top and bottom of
the first page.
A document not containing this
margin will be returned. The last
page requires a 2 inch margin at the top.
All other pages require a minimum of ˝ inch around
all edges of the paper. A minimum of 10
point font size is required with black ink.
A postage paid self-addressed envelope
sufficient to contain documents must be included for
recorded documents to be returned or we can hold them for
pick up at our office.
Effective 7-01-01, all
financing statements involving personal property are to be filed at the Indiana
Secretary of State's Office. Failure to file in the proper office may
affect the perfection of the filing.
