LOCAL EMERGENCY PLANNING COMMITTEE
(LEPC)


Mission: The Mission of the LEPC is to improve the safety of the citizenry of Warrick County through community partnerships designed to plan, prepare and respond to any hazardous material event. We will realize this through:

  • Development and maintenance of a comprehensive emergency plan for our community, as it relates to hazardous material incidents.
  • Establishment of lines of communication for collecting and managing information related to hazardous materials in the county.
  • Development of avenues to educate and inform the public about hazardous materials and to provide public access to information.
  • Continuous improvements to the plan based upon exercises and actual incidents.
  • Review and update the plan at least annually.

  • Sign up for CodeRED - Warrick County's Emergency Early Warning System. The CodeRED system gives county officials the ability to deliver pre-recorded emergency telephone (notification / information) messages to targeted areas, or the entire county at a rate of up to 60,000 calls per hour.
