Warrick County’s Urbanized Areas (Most of Ohio Township, Town of Newburgh and Town of Chandler) has been designated by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management as an “MS4 ENTITY”. This means that these areas are required under an ‘UNFUNDED MANDATE” to file for an NPDES Permit. The “Phase II Storm Water Regulation” requires that within a 5 year time limit Warrick County must meet Six Minimum Control Measures in order to comply with EPA’s Clean Water Act.
